A Letter from the Executive Director

At Serenity Health & Wellness, our work begins with a simple belief: every individual deserves compassionate care, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive. My name is Marsha Harris, Executive Director, and I’m honored to welcome you to our website and share the heart behind our organization.

Serenity Health & Wellness is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals and families living at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Our mission is rooted in equity and access — ensuring that high‑quality support is available to those who need it most, regardless of income or insurance status.

In the coming months, we will open our In‑Home Health Aide Services, a program designed to bring skilled, compassionate care directly into the homes of our clients. Our team of RNs, CNAs, and PCTs is committed to providing essential daily‑living support, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, eating, light housekeeping, and small meal preparation. Our goal is to ease the burden on families while helping loved ones remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.

To uphold the highest standards, Serenity Health & Wellness maintains its own training office, where our RN leads ongoing education to ensure every member of our care team is fully prepared and confident in their role. These services will be available to residents of Gaston and Cleveland counties.

Our growth does not stop there. Once settled in, we will launch our Medical Case Management department — a comprehensive support system designed to walk alongside clients as they navigate their health and daily needs. This department will include:

•     Medical Case Managers to accompany clients to appointments, manage pill‑box refills, coordinate referrals, and address ongoing care needs

•     A Social Worker to assist with rent, utilities, and essential resources

•     A Pharmacy Coordinator to help clients access medications with little to no copay

•     A Movement Trainer to support clients at their own pace

•     A Therapist to lead support groups and promote emotional well‑being

As each new service is introduced, we will begin in Gastonia and expand into surrounding Gaston county areas, ensuring that our reach grows alongside our mission.
